Pumpkins, Hayrides, and Carnivals :: A Guide to Fall Fun in Dallas

This guide has been sponsored by Ennis Autumn Daze. All opinions are 100% our own.

It’s getting to be that time again! We’re beyond ready for autumn air, falling leaves, and coziness. And Dallas has so many events and activities to help celebrate the season. Our guide below has details on all the coolest fall festivals, Halloween happenings, pumpkin patches, and more.

Don’t forget about our monthly event guides, which are full of even more local fun. (Hint: Subscribe to our newsletter to have them sent straight to your inbox every month.)

Let’s continue to be responsible and community-minded out there. As usual, we recommend checking ahead for safety requirements and last-minute cancellations.

We all know and love the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival, but did you know they have a kickin’ fall festival, too? Ennis Autumn Daze is a longtime local favorite that’s leveled up this year with even MORE to enjoy.

Starting October 1

The Haymaze and Pumpkin Patch will be their largest one to date, professionally designed and engineered for maximum fun. It’s free and open to the public from October 1-29. It will also be a part of the festival weekend.

Saturday & Sunday, October 30-31

Historic Downtown Ennis will be completely transformed for Ennis Autumn Daze. You’ll find:

Festival foods, unique vendors, and a beer garden
Live music from beloved headliners
Carnival rides and trick-or-treating
A corn hole tournament with a $1,000 CASH PRIZE
Costume contests for both people and pets
Free kids’ craft area
And more!

Festival tickets are $5 per day for adults. Children 12 and under are free. All proceeds go to Ennis Main Street, a non-profit providing free educational, social, and cultural programming in Historic Downtown Ennis.

Thank you to Ennis Autumn Daze for sponsoring our fall guide!

  1. Hi,
I am producing the DFW Kids Directory Fall Fest that will be taking place on Saturday, October 6th at the Dallas Farmers Market. I would love if you could add this to the list of Fall Carnivals. It will be a free family-friendly event with a petting zoo, a pirate show, face painting, mermaids, princess meet and greets, and much more.

Also, if any Mom bloggers would like to attend with their children, we are more than happy to do a VIP meet and greet with the princesses, mermaids, and pirates before the show. Please just email Jessica Hughes at: [email protected] for access. Thank you.
