I have been trying to cook at home and meal plan more this year. It’s going really well so far, and I want to keep up the habit once the kids are in school. But I know my schedule is only going to get busier between kid activities, my husband’s new job and my own crazy schedule. Mom life, right?
If only I had a personal assistant, a personal chef and someone to do all the grocery shopping! But I found out about the Cooklist app, and I want to shout from the rooftops: Every mom needs the Cooklist app in her life! Chandler Hatchett is a Cooklist fan too.
I have discovered several new recipes my family loves thanks to the Cooklist app. Don’t worry if you don’t have a list of recipes ready to add to the app. This is one of the coolest things about it: Cooklist will match what you buy to ingredients from more than 1 million recipes online to quickly filter and show you only the recipes you already have all the ingredients for now.
I have been dreaming of an app that would do this for years, y’all. It is so frustrating to try to find recipes in cookbooks or online only to find something that uses some sauce or spice we don’t have and would probably rarely use again. I’ve got pages and pages of Pinterest recipes saved but I’ve only made a handful.
Cooklist is a game changer. No kidding, friends. I’ve donated most of my cookbooks since downloading this app.
The Cooklist app features tools that are making mom life so much easier. The app connects to loyalty store programs and keeps track of what you buy (including expiration dates) so you always know what you have in your pantry and refrigerator.
You will also get a smart shopping list. This means you can add products you bought previously or used recently. You can add entire recipes you want to cook, and the Cooklist app will add any missing ingredients to your shopping list – right down to the quantities you need. If you’re swamped and can’t make it to the supermarket, Cooklist allows you to place an order and have your groceries delivered from Target.
Cooklist had its work cut out for it when I first tried it out. We were overdue for a grocery run and there wasn’t much to work with. I entered in what we had which was a quick process thanks to the app (and the fact that our refrigerator and pantry were pretty empty). I ended up finding a recipe through the app for eggs in a basket. Have you ever tried this recipe?
I’ve wanted make these for years but never got around to it. This seemed like a great time to give it a whirl. The recipe was such a hit! I’ve been whipping them up almost every day since. I guess what I’m really telling you is that you need the Cooklist app and eggs in a basket in your life.
My husband and I have already added more recipes we want to try to my favorites list on the app. I have been telling everyone to download it because it’s honestly one of my favorite apps now. And I’m looking forward to cooking rather than dreading trying to figure out what to make with what we have at home. I know this is going to make the school year so much easier!!
