I have the answer to your future Google queries—YOUR house. No, It’s not a joke. I had no idea I could get my tires changed, rotated, and balanced at MY house or at MY work. I recently learned about On-Site Tires, and to be honest, my first thought was:

How much is THAT going to cost me? Fortunately for this budget-conscious mama, pretty much the same as any big box store. Whaaaaaat?

Tire Balancing: Balancing your tires extends the life of the tires and it’s really just basic safety for your car. Tires that are out of balance cause uneven wear, vibrations when driving, and can lead to unsafe driving. Getting your tires balanced will give you a smoother ride, better gas mileage (yes, now, please!), and it will prolong the life of your tires.

Tire Rotation: You should get your tires balanced every 3,000–6,000 miles or with every oil change. Shoot—I didn’t know that! Tire rotation is absolutely vital for making your tires last longer, getting better fuel economy (again, gas prices, ugh!) and keeping you and your family safe when hitting the roads.

Tire Installation: Tires should be purchased in sets of four, or at the very least a matching set of two. When the thread on your tires becomes thin, it can cause you to lose traction to the road.

On-Site Tires offers the same selection you’d find at any shop by searching on their website for your year, make, and model.

Here’s How It Works

Go to their website and click “Shop Tires.” I input my make, model, year, trim, tire size and tire season. If you don’t know those things, you can also try the search by your license plate number. And if those don’t work for you, just call them (1-855-667-4835) to
chat it out. They will give you the details on what you need, without overselling.

When I went online and went through the search process, 20+ tires came up in my search. I. Had. No. Idea. Which. Ones. To. Pick. If you call, they’ll ask you similar questions or tell you how to find out, how many miles you drive, and the pros and cons of the different tire options.

You buy your tires and set an appointment that works best for your (crazy) schedule. The night before an appointment, you’ll get a reminder text. And the day of, they’ll shoot you another text letting you know they’re on the way.

My Experience

The On-Site Tires team (they were two men) got settled in, did their job in 45 minutes, and when they were done, gave me the scoop on problems that they saw and how they resolved it. They were nice guys, provided great service, and I felt 100% comfortable with the men that came to service my tires (they never came in my house).

Let me tell you—I value my time and I value my money. There are only so many hours in the day and only so much money to keep our family afloat. With two kids running around, carpool, sports, errands, and LIFE happening, sitting at a tire shop is at the very bottom of my list. With On-Site Tires coming to ME, I don’t have to drag my rambunctious munchkins with me to the tire shop.

On-Site Tires is offering a FREE installation on any set of four Michelin, BFGoodrich, or
Uniroyal tires with code DALLASMOMS. They’ll also give a free rotation and rebalance to the first 25 people who book an appointment with code MOMS!
