Ideally most of us are preparing lovely 5-course homemade meals with the fresh ingredients from our produce co-op 3 times a day. And of course, our little ones clear their plates and even help us clean up the kitchen! But on the rare day you don’t feel like cooking (or if you’re more like me and you don’t even know where your kitchen is) then it’s always nice to get a deal when taking your family out to eat! And there are tons of restaurants in the DFW area that cater to families with discount meal deals. But you either have to be in the right place at the right time, hear about the deals and then try to remember where and when they are… OR just be a reader of the Dallas Moms Blog and I’ll list them all out for you!!
Dickey’s BBQ Pit — Kids eat free on Sunday’s. Dine in only, kids under 12 can get one kids meal with the purchase of one adult meal. And there are a plethora of Dickey’s in the metroplex!
IHOP – Every day from 4pm to 10pm kids under 12 can get one kids meal with the purchase of one adult meal. (Drinks not included) (I couldn’t find this one on the website, but I know we’ve gone before. Definitely call ahead to check though!)
JC’s Burger House — Monday’s & Tuesday’s from 4pm to close, dine in only, one kids meal is free with purchase of adult burger, fries and drink. “One kid’s meal per child per adult per day” (in case you needed them to be more specific)
Cafe Brazil — APRIL special only so get it while it’s HOT! — kids 12 and under eat free with purchase of adult entree Monday through Thursday 5pm to 10pm!
Tin Star — Kids eat free Sunday and Wednesday 4pm to 9pm. Purchase required, excluding mall locations.
Spaghetti Warehouse — Every Monday is $1.99 kids menu meal with and adult meal purchase!
Pluckers — Kids eat free every Tuesday at all locations — 2 kids per adult entry!
McAlister’s — $0.99 kids meals every day, dine-in!
Denny’s — This one is iffy — kids eat free 4pm to 10pm, but days may vary. Definitely call before you go!
Black Eyed Pea — kids eat free with purchase of adult entree. (Couldn’t find this one on their website either, but we’ve used this deal a lot too!)
Texas de Brazil — Children’s prices: 2 yrs. and under are complimentary, 3-5 yrs. are $5, and 6-12 yrs. are half of the regular dinner price. (It’s still pricy, but the deals for the kids are good!)
Luby’s — Check the website for the specials as they very by location – but they have some good ones, so it’s definitely worth checking!
I did my very best to verify that these deals are currently available, but you might want to check online or call to make sure the location you are going to is running the same deals/discounts! And there were several other places that I didn’t list here because I couldn’t find reference to them on official websites, so if you know of other suggestions please list them in the comments!! I’m always looking for a new place to take the kids!
