Ready to bask in the twinkling glow of the holidays? We’ve rounded up all the best places to see holiday lights in Dallas and beyond — from popular neighborhood displays to major holiday light spectaculars (of which there are now quite a few!).
While what we listed below are drive-thru or major light displays, don’t forget that lots of places deck the halls this time of year. Enjoy twinkling lights at the Arboretum, Dallas Zoo, Vitruvian Park, and any historic town square. (Grapevine and the newly-renovated Garland Square are particularly picturesque.)

The 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit comes alive after dark with more than a million lights illuminating the garden, trimming the architecture of the historic homes, and lighting the canopies overhead. Admission prices vary by date, see here for details and to purchase tickets.

With 500,000+ holiday lights including icicle-style tree lights, a festive lawn, and an 18-foot Christmas tree, this is a holiday hotspot you won’t want to miss. Free!

Back to a walk-through event for 2023! After the animals go to bed, the zoo becomes illuminated with more than a million twinkling lights. You’ll find glowing silk lanterns, light shows, musical performances, crafts, treats, Santa, and more. Ticket prices vary by date (premium and non-premium nights).

Radiance!

Head to The Ranch for a walk-through light spectacular with more than three million lights. With the purchase of a V.I.P upgrade, the kids will get Magic Light Glasses that reveal secret Christmas images in all of Radiance’s magical dancing lights! Tickets from $25.99.

Vitruvian Lights
Addison
Stroll the paths of Vitruvian Park and see dazzling technicolor trees reflecting off the water. You can also opt to view the lights from your car; see here for the best route. There are special events planned for November 18 and 25. Free!

Christmas on Main Street
Grapevine
Experience Christmas magic (and great photo backdrops) amid the twinkling Victorian-style buildings of Historic Downtown Grapevine. Come out for one of its light-based events: Carol of Lights with live performances and family-friendly fun on November 20 or the Merry & Bright Drone Show on December 2, 9, and 16. The annual Parade of Lights is scheduled for December 7.

Gift of Lights
Texas Motor Speedway
This drive-through light trail is more than two miles long and made up of millions of lights. Note: Santa’s Village will not be available for the 2023 – 2024 season. Tickets from $35 per car.

Prairie Lights
Grand Prairie
Drive through the world’s longest light tunnel and see displays of four million lights. At the halfway point, exit your vehicle to enjoy a holiday village with carnival rides, concessions, photos with Santa, a magical walk-through forest, and more! Tickets from $50 per car.

This neighborhood has been doing holiday lights for many, many years. See the link for directions and lots of helpful tips. Located between Preston and Coit.

This iconic Dallas neighborhood brings out extravagant light displays year after year. You can book a Christmas lights tour through Brazos Carriage or Whitehaven. While you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to take a look at the gloriously lit trees throughout Highland Park Village. Located on streets around Armstrong & Preston.
Timberhollow Circle

It may be just one cul-de-sac, but for the past 20+ years, these homeowners have gone all out interpreting the 12 Days of Christmas in their front yards. Located one block south of Royal Lane, off Abrams on Moss Haven Drive.

In addition to festively decorated homes, residents of this beautiful historic neighborhood team up to decorate traffic islands for the annual Holiday Lights Decorating Contest. You also get a nice bonus view of the Dallas skyline from over here. Located around Colorado and Laussane Avenue.
