While not as diverse as the old Jockey Lot held in downtown McKinney during the mid 20th century, we try to re-create the feel of the old market days. Meet friends, share local news and bring a chair and sit a while!

Local  and organic meat, dairy, honey and produce vendors offer their wares every Saturday at Chestnut Square near downtown McKinney and Thursday at Adriatica on McKinney’s west side. Market vendors also offer sauces, canned goods, pasta, baked goods, wine and flowers!

Dixie’s Store at Chestnut Square will be open with Dr. Pepper, Cokes, old fashioned candy, ice cream, craft items and old fashioned toys for sale.

Flagfootball4fun youth sports programs are committed to providing a safe, fun and skill-based experience for kids between the ages of 4 and 14. We are a national youth sports company with local flag leagues, football camps and cheerleading in over 25 communities.

Our flag football teams are coached by experienced coaches, many of whom have professional and college-level experience. Their commitment to helping our kids get in great shape is even bigger than their commitment to having a good time.

Our cheerleaders are taught to stretch, run, and get in great shape, just like the football teams. The physical strength it takes to cheer through an entire game is the same or greater than it does to play football the whole time. And our cheerleaders have to do it with a smile!

The importance of physical exercise for children can’t be overstated. The risks of injury in flag football are significantly lower than in tackle football and many other sports.

Our children learn to play football and to play together. More importantly, they learn to stay in great shape and feel better. At FlagFootball4Fun, we are committed to our children’s physical health, now and for the rest of their lives.

We offer fencing programs for recreational to competitive fencers as well as fencing camps for the beginner and advanced student.  Our programs are specially designed by world-class coaches. Students are challenged mentally and physically, honing agility, quickness, and subtlety of movement. Our students learn to:

• Evaluate the cause and effect of their actions
• Overcome attitudes and fears
• Win and lose graciously

Fencing was one of the first sports to be recognized in modern Olympics. Fencing has been described as “chess with muscles,” suggesting that complicated strategy lies behind the thrusts and parries that punctuate a duel. Fencers of today employ a combination of archaic and modern customs; combatants still salute before a match and wear the traditional white uniforms and masks, but scoring is now determined by electronic padding worn by the combatants that registers when a hit takes place with flashing, color-coded lights.

Centerfield Baseball Academy lessons are designed to enhance the 5 tools of baseball: hitting for average, hitting for power, arm strength, speed and defensive ability.  By focusing on the fundamentals players of all ages and skill levels can become better baseball players.

Teaching youth baseball players important drills and correcting bad habits at an early age allows them to get a jump on their competition. Centerfield Baseball Academy boasts the finest coaches to work our sessions, including current and former pro players as well as current and former college players.  Our staff of instructors is dedicated to helping bring out the best in youth baseball players across the state.

PBA, a non-profit organization, hosts both recreational and competitive baseball for youth in the Plano and the surrounding communities. Children, ages 3 -18 years play in league and tournaments throughout the spring and fall seasons. PBA aspires to offer every child wanting to learn baseball the opportunity to develop the mental and physical skills needed to play through camps, clinics and regular team practices. Physical activity, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship are all emphasized for healthy life skills.

PBA is not only dedicated to our players, but also to the development of each of its umpires, volunteer coaches and assistants through training classes, coaching clinics and support from our staff, league commissioners, and the Board of Directors. By utilizing Major League Baseball, the rules of our sanctioning body and local PBA rules, our coaches teach respect and integrity for the game of baseball.

All programs operated by PBA are open to all residents of Plano as well as any North Texas community regardless of race, age, socio-economic level, color, sex, national origin, religion, handicap status and geographic residency.

Extra Innings is everything baseball and softball. You can use our batting cages or tunnels, receive professional instruction, or buy equipment at our nationally recognized Pro Shop. We also have video games and a great room to host a Birthday Party!

Our batting cages and Pro Shop are open to walk-in visits. However, Reservations are recommended for private lessons, clinics and use of the tunnels.

Extra Innings offers private (1 student) and group lessons (3 or more students) on the mechanics of pitching, hitting and fielding.

Kids come first at the Pigtails & Crewcuts – haircuts for kids in Plano, TX. Grab a fun styling chair, play a game, and settle in for a haircut as our kid-friendly stylists work their magic. The concept behind this kids salon is simple, getting a haircut should be fun and memorable! Welcome to the Tumble & Stunt Institute.  TSI is a small and personable gym focused solely on the individual.  If your sport or activity involves flipping or stunting, then you’re in the right place, whether you are a cheerleader, gymnast, dancer, urban gymnast, flair martial artist, fitness competitor, or an athlete wanting to learn a back flip to throw after the next big victory, with our staff’s background and experience, we can teach you how to safely progress your skills and goal(s).  Besides providing excellent training to our customers, the Tumble & Stunt Institute is determined to provide an effective, safe and motivating experience in personal and team training.  Our hope is that through the use of our facility and staff, the athlete’s enjoyment and appreciation for all levels of acrobatics will be enhanced.
