What’s in your child’s lunch box?

3

I don’t know about you, but I seem to get into a rut when packing my kids’ lunches for preschool. I end up sending the same things every day- sandwich, Goldfish, fruit. Does this sound familiar? Sometimes I find it hard to come up with new ideas that my kids will like and that are quick and easy to pack when we’re in a rush to get out the door. Jenny, one of our contributors, does a great job packing Bento box lunches for her kids. Seeing her cute and healthy lunches made me realize I need to step it up in the lunch department!

So, where did I turn {other than Jenny’s blog!} for ideas to spruce up my kids’ lunches??

Pinterest, of course!

First, I found this website above. It has hundreds of ideas {including pictures} of fun things to pack in a lunch and also ways to make them look good, too!

Below is another great resource for ideas. Do you see the cheese cut into bunny shapes?? Too cute! And this blog also has a free PDF printable for lunchbox ideas that you can customize, print, and hang on the fridge.

Here’s a recipe I found for yummy pizza muffins. I’ve been making them for a while now and the kids LOVE them when they make an appearance in their lunch. I make and freeze them ahead of time, then I just pull a few out for each child and they defrost by lunchtime!

I’m excited to try out some of these ideas to make my kids’ lunches exciting and full of variety. And I know they’ll be excited when they open their lunchbox and find something other than a sandwich, Goldfish, and fruit!
