Watter’s Creek: Grimaldi’s & Paciugo

0

Get ready, because I have the perfect date night combo for you! Wait, did I say date night?? Ahem. I mean night out with kids in tow. With date nights being somewhat rare for us, its nice to find a restaurant that is kid friendly but still has a great atmosphere!!

When my parents came to visit, and now again when my sister and her hubby visited, we took them to Grimaldi’s — a coal-brick oven pizzeria — and Paciugo — a gelato shop. The locations we visited were at Watters Creek (located on Bethany and 75 in Allen) which is a wonderful place to visit with the kids because there is plenty of space to take a nice walk around, tons of great shops (Anthropologie anyone??), and a nice big grassy area with a few pretend animals to climb on. On Friday and Saturday nights during the summer, they also have live music!! Such a great place to take the family.

Specifically, the places my husband and I LOVE to go are Grimaldi’s and Paciugo. Grimaldi’s offers coal brick-oven pizza and it is OH SO tasty!! With four adults and my toddler, we ate a large pizza with a large salad and all had water and when we split the bill with my sister and her hubby, our portion was only $15! With drinks, when we took my parents, I think we still only paid $20. VERY reasonable! The only downside to me was that there is no distraction for kids (i.e. no crayons) and the wait is usually about 30 minutes, but believe me, it is well worth it!

Next, we took a stroll over to Paciugo for some gelato. This place can be a little pricey, but also very well worth it. They have many flavors and have new flavors daily! Aside from gelato, theres espresso shakes, afogato (where they pour espresso over your choice of gelato flavor), and some take home options.

We always have a great time – I mean who doesn’t like pizza and ice cream?? 😉 Always a great option for the family!! So if you’re in the Allen area, I highly reccomend taking a trip to Watter’s Creek!
