On Wednesday, September 22, we hosted a LIVE virtual chat on Facebook, featuring award-winning actress Molly Ringwald, National Meningitis Association (NMA) President Leslie Maier, NMA advocate John Grimes and Dr. Albert Karam, in collaboration with Sanofi Pasteur.
Together, we discussed how we can help protect our teens against meningococcal #meningitis, which they’re at increased risk for. For the best protection, the CDC recommends a first dose of the MenACWY vaccine at ages 11-12 and a second dose at age 16. Unfortunately, adolescent vaccination rates are low across the country, especially in the Dallas area.
