Join Our Team :: Lead a Community Group

0

The Dallas Moms team is currently accepting applications to join our volunteer community group leadership team. Our leaders are moms, such as yourself, that are wanting to make an impact in their community through encouraging, supporting, and connecting women in their motherhood journeys. We want to empower other moms to speak up and seek support by using our community groups as a local resource.

What are community groups? Dallas Moms community groups are private Facebook groups where moms can ask questions, make connections, and find comradery. Each group (will soon be!) moderated by a leader who helps bolster discussion, organize meet-ups, and handle admin tasks.

Place for Everyone

Our current line-up of community groups include regional options. We have a variety of groups for every locale in the Dallas area. However, there are more groups — many topical groups — soon to launch. We recently created the The Dallas Moms Community + Conversation — go join!

No matter if you are a new mom or a mom with six kiddos . . . if you are 25 or 55, there is a place for you in Dallas Moms community groups. That is the type of culture we want to cultivate. And we need group leaders to help us!

Community group leaders provide regular content and resources — by sharing articles, videos, memes, and questions to facilitate discussion. Leaders consider that inclusive culture and find content that impacts a variety of women.

Meet Ups

Leaders schedule playdates and meet ups in their respective groups for other moms on a regular basis. Every few months, leaders host an event. With or without kids, these opportunities are a great chance to meet other moms, just like you. Moms love the chance to chat, vent, or just enjoy a few minutes of adult conversation!

Safe Space

Dallas Moms wants to provide a place where moms can feel welcome — in their victories and struggles. Together, we can inspire other moms, and we may need to seek help and advice from others. Consequently, that is the exact purpose of our community groups.

Working with our community group leadership team provides an opportunity for growth and learning, which we all need in our lives.
