Family Travel Made Simple with Vea Kids

When my first son was born in 2011, my only sibling and brother was an officer in the Marine Corps stationed in Afghanistan. It was an emotional moment for me knowing my brother wouldn’t be there for the birth of his first nephew, but even more emotional knowing he would miss out on a whole year of my son’s first year of life. When the official word came down for his return, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to cash in some airline miles and jump on a last-minute flight with sister-in-law & 11 month old to meet him when he arrived on base in North Carolina.

Since the exact date of his arrival was unknown, we spent a day or so walking around Wilmington and touring the coast with nothing more than a portable stroller and car seat. His home had been packed away while he was overseas, so the comforts of home were few and far between without a baby item in sight! While this memorable experience helped me realize I could survive travel with a young child, it also made me very aware of how difficult it was at the same time — especially when my usual “gear” was thousands of miles away.

Dads, Ruble Henderson and Andrew Kucera, experienced and recognized the stress parents with small children endure when traveling and came up with a solution. Vea Kids offers modern, clean and convenient equipment rentals for small children inside Denver International Airport (and soon to more airports in the future).

Vea Kids 2By using their service, you can shed all of that cumbersome equipment that is essential to have, but now no longer needed to travel with. You simply leave all of your heavy and valuable gear at home (or in your car) and when you arrive at your destination, Vea Kids will be there inside the airport to provide you with all of your travel essentials: car seats, pack n’ plays, strollers, carriers and peapod tents.

Don’t want to take up valuable luggage space with products that you’ll just dispose of? Vea Kids also sells essential items like diapers, wipes, formula, medicines, creams, squeeze (fruit and veggie) packs, juice and snacks galore — with trusted name brands you’ll recognize. All to ease the burden of traveling with little ones.

So, this season if you’re planning a ski trip to Colorado with the family or thinking of a travel destination this summer that takes you through Denver International Airport, remember to contact Vea Kids and take advantage of their daily or weekly baby & children’s equipment rentals.

Krystal Hurst
Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
