Prairie Lights Sneek-A-Peek 5k :: Grand Prairie :: November 23-24, 2019 :: Run, walk, or stroll through the premier holiday light park in Texas. Saturday is a timed event and Sunday is a family walk/stroll through the lights. Decorate your stroller and wear costumes to win a prize in the festive team competition. Dallas Turkey Trot :: Downtown Dallas :: November 28, 2019 :: This annual Dallas tradition is one of the largest multi-event races in the country! It benefits the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and it’s a great way to start your Thanksgiving with the whole family. Choose either a 5K or 8 Mile run/walk (or a 1k Tot Trot for the kids). North Texas Turkey Trot :: Frisco Square :: November 28, 2019 :: Can’t make it downtown? This is the next best thing! Choose from a 10K, 5K, or Miracle Mile for kids. Race proceeds benefit The Miracle League of Frisco, which provides local kids with mental and/or physical challenges (ages 5-19) the opportunity to play sports as members of an organized league. Run the Lights :: Addison :: December 6, 2019 :: Bring the whole family for an evening 5k or fun run (or walk!) through the beautiful Vitruvian Park Lights. Jingle Bell Run :: Garland :: December 7, 2019 :: The Naaman Forest class of 2022 will host the 11th annual 5k in Historic Downtown Garland Square. They’ll have vendor booths and family fun, and the event benefits the Garland Pet Adoption Center. Register here!

Irving Frost 5k :: Toyota Music Factory :: December 7, 2019 :: One of the Irving Marathon race weekend events, this one has easy parking, free race photography, on-site expo, and live music & dj along the course and at the after party at Texas Lottery Plaza. Register here!

Chocoholic Frolic :: Lone Star Park, Grand Prairie :: December 8, 2019 :: Run, jog, or walk your way through the 5k, 10k, or KidsK courses. The finish line is a chocoholic celebration with a delightful spread of treats to dip in delicious chocolate. Register here!

BMW Dallas Marathon Weekend :: Downtown Dallas :: December 13-15, 2019 :: This is a whole weekend of running events for fun runners and hardcore alike. New this year is the Friday Night Lights Mile. And Saturday’s events include a 10K, 5K, 2-Mile Walk and multiple races for kids, as a lead up to the marathon on Sunday. Register here!

Candy Cane Course North Dallas :: Garland :: December 14, 2019 :: The fun includes swag, chip-timing, live results and awards, free photos, costumes, free kids dash, post-race food, and plenty of fun activities. 10k, 5k, or 1 Mile run/walk (including youth divisions for the 10k and 5k). KwanzaaFest Beat Obesity 5k :: Fair Park :: December 14, 2019 :: Part of the weekend-long KwanzaaFest celebration (and one component of HealthFest), this 5k and 1 Mile Kid’s Run aim to promote community health and well-being. Jingle Bell Run :: Hilton Anatole :: December 20, 2019 :: This family-friendly event includes a nighttime 5k, 1-mile fun run, and rockin’ post-race party at the hotel. Run in your most over-the-top holiday attire. You’ll get jingle bells and glow bands and they’ll have carolers and music along the race course for extra holiday spirit. Jingle All the 10k, 5k, 1k :: Downtown Dallas :: December 21, 2019 :: Are you ready for this Yeti? These morning runs start at Trinity Groves Gateway Plaza right near the Continental Pedestrian Bridge. You’ll have a great backdrop of downtown Dallas. Register here!

Loop-the-Lake New Year’s Eve Run :: White Rock Lake :: December 31, 2019 :: This 9.5 mile fun run is a little more low-key, started by some local Dallas runners who wanted to close out the year with a final run and give back to the community in the process. You don’t have to pay to run, but donations are appreciated and support the Dallas chapter of Marathon Kids. Register here!
