November 25 :: Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot :: Downtown Dallas (& Virtual)
This annual Dallas tradition is one of the largest multi-event races in the country! It benefits the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and it’s a great way to start your Thanksgiving with the whole family. Can’t make it downtown? How about Collin County? Run/walk virtually or in-person for this annual Thanksgiving 5k and Kids Dash. Hypnotic Donuts will be on hand to reward you after. Benefits Best Buddies International.
November 25 :: North Texas Turkey Trot :: Frisco Square (& Virtual)
Choose from a 10K, 5K, or Miracle Mile for kids. Race proceeds benefit The Miracle League of Frisco, which provides local kids with mental and/or physical challenges (ages 5-22) the opportunity to play sports as members of an organized league.
December 4 :: Jingle Bell Run :: Trinity Park
The Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run 5k returns. Run or walk a 5k in holiday attire to battle the #1 cause of disability.
December 4 :: Bonefrog Challenge :: Forney
This one seems slightly more hardcore—it’s the world’s only Navy SEAL obstacle course race. They have several different race events including a kids race. See link for tons of details and to register.
December 4 – 12 :: SuperVive Fun Run :: Virtual
Walk, run, or ride anywhere and anytime. The top 3 participants who log the most miles get a reward! Organized by ROSAesROJO to promote in-family physical activity and help serve more Hispanic women in North Texas on the topics of wellness and cancer prevention.
December 10 – 12 :: BMW Dallas Marathon Festival :: Dallas
It’s the 50th anniversary of the Dallas Marathon! The course highlights the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, entertainment districts, and iconic Dallas landmarks. There’s a whole line-up of weekend events at the link, including a 5K, 10K, Kids 100M Dash, entertainment, health expo, and more. Dallas Marathon is a nonprofit organization with a focus on promoting health and physical fitness through running events and related activities (and to date has donated $4M to Scottish Rite for Children).
December 18 :: Jingle All the 5K, 10K :: Downtown Dallas (& Virtual)
Are you ready for this Yeti? These morning runs (including the Kids Dash) start at Trinity Groves Gateway Plaza right near the Continental Pedestrian Bridge. You’ll have a great backdrop of downtown Dallas. Benefits 29 Acres.
December 18 :: Irving Frost Half Marathon, 10K & 5K :: Toyota Music Factory :: Irving (& Virutal)
Join the movement with others in-person or virtually who like you, practice wellness and a healthy lifestyle while promoting the fight against childhood obesity. Fast and flat course.
