Struggling to think of different gift ideas for your children other than more “stuff”?

A trend that’s surfaced the last few years is gifting experiences, instead of more toys, clothes, or gift cards. It means less clutter, less materialism, less shopping stress, and most important, a memorable experience for your child that will last a lifetime.

Nurture Lasting Bonds

Gifting an experience is an excellent way to entertain the grandparents’ love for indulging their grandkids! Rather than the “spoil them and send them home” approach, gifting an experience can benefit both parties. Grandparents or other family members feel good about giving a unique, heartfelt gift that leads to special memories.

And shared experiences foster invaluable one-on-one emotional connections. Encourage your children to think of some experiences to add to their wish lists this year such as:

  • Museum tickets/membership
  • Tickets to the movies or a play
  • Theme park tickets
  • Admission to a special event or festival
  • Camp experiences or fitness lessons at Cooper Aerobics!

Give an early Christmas present with the Cooper Aerobics winter break Fit & Fun Camp! Make it a winter break to remember for your kids with this three-day camp filled with everything from sports to non-traditional, camp-style games. Each day is different and could include soccer, basketball, kickball, relay races, or even a talent show!

Two sessions of kids camp (ages five – seven) and youth camp (ages eight – 13) are offered during the holiday break:

  • Session 1: December 19 – 21
  • Session 2: December 28 – 30

And the best thing is — you’ll keep the kids off the couch and electronics while they stay active and make friends this winter break!

Play with a Purpose

The benefits of attending camp are countless, from the social interaction to the physical activity. “Play with a purpose” is the mission at Cooper camps. Campers develop an awareness of body movement and healthy physical activity. They practice sharing, taking turns, manners, and good sportsmanship while playing in various group settings.

Cooper Fit & Fun day camps include lessons on fitness, aerobics, nutrition, sports, relaxation, and flexibility that kids will utilize well into the future. And the daily structure of camps at Cooper is one more way to reinforce routines, responsibility, and accountability.
