Trinity Forest Adventure Park is an adventure park located in Dallas,TX consisting of ropes obstacle course varying in levels of difficulty/height.Our park has over 70 elements and over 20 zip lines, that gradually becomes more difficult and higher .It is perfect for thrill-seekers, new climbers and even the little ones (ages 4 and up) on our children courses. Notre Dame School, recognizing that each person is created in the image of God, educates students with developmental disabilities and facilitates their integration into society. Notre Dame School serves students with developmental disabilities ages 6-21. The school has been in existence for over 50 years. We offer a curriculum that builds not only academics skills but independent living and social skills. Notre Dame offers a low to student to teacher ratio of 5:1 as well as small classes and experienced teachers with long tenures at the school. In addition we offer Special Olympics sports (including cheerleading) as well as other after school activities such as Karate, Young Life and dance classes. FIT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) member club of the United States Fencing Association dedicated to enriching lives through the sport of fencing. We are a full range school, teaching all three Olympic weapons (Épée, Foil & Sabre) and encouraging competitive team as well as recreational fencing for all ages!
The Gymnastics Place has been in business for over 25 years and has been under the current ownership of Billy Booth for the past 16 years. Billy has been actively involved in gymnastics for over 35 years. Before owning The Gymnastics Place, Billy coached state, regional, and national champion gymnasts. While under Billy’s directorship, 22 former team members received full gymnastics scholarships to Universities across the United States. Billy has also served as a member of the State USA Gymnastics Board for over 22 years. In 1998, Billy was elected as a Life Member in the Gymnastics Association of Texas for his service to children and coaches throughout the years.
Jay Rock’s Gym was created in 1998 and is still in its original location. It was founded by Jay Rock, a former elite gymnast originally from Brooklyn, New York. Jay Rock’s Gym was opened with the premise to have a friendly, open environment where children can learn and develop life lessons through tumbling and cheerleading. Presently, Jay and his wife Kristen continue to coach and mentor children in the gym on a daily basis.
The Arboretum opened its doors in 1984, combining the 44-acre DeGolyer Estate and the 22-acre Alex Camp House to create a horticultural masterpiece in North Texas. Today, 19 named gardens and numerous areas within combine to create one of the premier Dallas landmarks. The vibrant color displays in these gardens engage visitors of all ages throughout the seasons.
The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden was designed to connect children with nature. Located in the “Historic Silos” of Carrolloton and desiginated a historical landmark on May 21st, 2011. Used by climbers of all ages and abilities from scouts to world class climbers, no one in Dallas wanted to see the “Silos” closed.
“The North Texas OPC” as it is called includes indoor rock climbing, outfitting, rock climbing & wilderness trips, backpacking gear rentals, kayak rentals, instructional courses in both rock climbing & backpacking as well as a map room, book room and snack bar.
The North Texas Outdoor Pursuit Center will be housed in the newly historically renovated grain silos, the historical renovation includes new historically correct lighting through out circa. 1940, Architectural 1940’s barn/farmhouse features include corrugated metal, knotty pine flooring, front counter features, painting schemes, glass floor showcasing the original grain processing equipment as it sits today, lounge area showcasing the research document and photos used to get historical designation, remodeled restrooms circa. 1940 and much more.
Until this year, the White Rock Market was held every other Saturday at Green Spot. But this year, we have made a change: Our Lakeside Market and White Rock have now combined. in 2016, the Lakeside Market will now be every Saturday at Lakeside Baptist Church – just a mile from the former Green Spot location – from March to December.
Close to the Arboretum, Little Forest Hills and Casa Linda, Lakeside Market has trail-blazed the revitalization of Garland Rd. It’s a neighborhood destination for local produce, artisan foods and crafts, and community. We look forward to seeing everyone there every week!
