Last June, my family and I were displaced after a freak thunderstorm brought in 70+ mph winds, knocking down massive trees and electrical lines all over our neighborhood (including our driveaway). The night after the storm, we ventured out to find food only to see the scope of damage that had taken place across North Dallas. Restaurant after restaurant was without power and some that were still open couldn’t serve food. As we were about to give up, we happened to drive by McAlister’s Deli in Addison. The lights were on and the doors were open to guests while the rest of the street was in the dark.

That night, McAlister’s Deli created one of the most memorable experiences for our boys. We were so grateful to sit down and eat a meal together. With upcoming expenses weighing heavy (hotel stays, forced eating out, repair bills, etc.), it was nice to enjoy a quality meal without emptying our pockets.

Less than a year later, once again, McAlister’s Deli is coming to our rescue but in a whole new way!

Normally I’d encourage you to bring your family and dine-in to experience their genuine hospitality and, to take advantage of the free refills of their fresh brewed sweet tea (or Arnold Palmer) and their $0.99 dine-in Kids Meals. But, of course, our current predicament prevents this.

Thankfully, McAlister’s Deli gets it. They know parents need quality food for their families without breaking the bank — and right now, do so safely.

Now through April 30, 2020, McAlister’s Deli is extending their 99¢ dine-in kids meals offer to include with takeout (with the purchase of an adult entree) when you place an order or with the McAlister’s Deli App.*Download on the APP STORE :: Get it on GOOGLE PLAY

The kids’ meal menu includes favorites like cheesy mac & cheese, french bread pizza, a chicken and broccoli bowl, spuds and cheese toasties. Each meal comes with a side of choice and a chocolate chip mini cookie

McAlister’s Deli is the perfect way to bring a little normalcy back into your home, while also providing an easy and affordable way to enjoy a meal “out” with your family during these crazy times.

Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
