Dallas Fun: Jump Mania!

1

Now that the holidays are over, it’s back to life as usual. If you’re feeling like you’re in a little bit of a post-holiday slump and are looking for something entertaining for your kiddos, I’ve found another fun spot to try!

Jump Mania! It’s tucked away in a little shopping center in Plano, and I’ve driven by it hundreds of times without noticing. But after my husband pointed it out, we decided to try it. And it didn’t disappoint!

We went with some friends on a Wednesday morning for Toddler Mania! The website says it’s $5, but we were pleasantly surprised that they only charged us $3.25. And of course parents are free. Not too bad for a couple of hours of running off some energy!

They have a toddler area with smaller sized bounce houses…one with a slide and one with big balls and basketball hoops. The toddler area also has a kitchen, some ball poppers, a ride on toy and a play house. So lots of things to keep the little ones entertained. My son takes a little while to warm up to all the jumping and bouncing around, and he was thoroughly entertained by the toys.

They have tons of the big inflatables for the adventurous toddlers. Or the moms that want a workout. My son LOVES the big, tall slides. But he really only LOVES them when his momma climbs up with him to slide. Fun and exhausting…but great if you’re wanting some exercise to burn off all the Christmas goodies you enjoyed!

Toddler Mania on Wednesday mornings is supposed to be for kids under 5. I couldn’t tell how strictly that was enforced, and I know there were definitely some kids there that were at least 5. But, the staff was helpful in keeping the bigger kids out of the toddler area and thankfully, the big inflatables were fun for the older kids.

After a morning of fun, I really don’t have anything bad to say about Jump Mania. It’s clean, the staff is friendly (it’s family owned and operated) and a great price! The only negative from the morning would have to be the moms that just check out (of course you’ll get this anywhere). Jump Mania is not intended to be a babysitter, but unfortunately some moms think that their parenting responsibilites stop at the door. So you will have to keep an eye on your kiddo, especially the younger ones, so they don’t get jumped on by a bigger kid (yes my son was taken down in a choke hold by a bigger kid…I was standing right there and gave that kid a stern talking to since his mom wasn’t paying enough attention to do it herself!).

But really it was great-we had a ton of fun, so check it out if you need something fun to do now that the holidays are over.
