When baby comes along, a lot of things that used to be a priority in our lives quickly take a backseat. Unfortunately, one of those things is our skincare routine. Honestly, I could never count the amount of times I’ve gone to bed with my makeup on. It’s ridiculous, I know.
I’m actually lucky to get a free minute during the day to even put makeup ON. After a long day, which most days are, all I want to do is crawl in bed, not stand at the sink taking my makeup off. I always think to myself, “Oh well, what’s one night?” The bad thing is I usually say that the next night, too, and the night after that. :/
I have recently started using the Mary Kay skincare set and I love the Time Wise Cleanser. The way it makes my skin feel does make me crave it and helps make sure I take my makeup off when I really don’t want to.
I wanted to poll our contributors and find out what their very favorite skin care product is. Aren’t we always interested to learn what works best for other moms, in just about every category?!? I know I am!
Here’s what the girls had to say:
Cetaphil – I use it on my face and my kids’.
Boscia Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment – I really think it helps with my genetic undereye bags, plus it’s free of phthalates and other chemicals I try to avoid. It’s sold at Sephora and a bottle lasts me 4 to 5 months.
My skin changes with pregnancy and breastfeeding, so my skincare is constantly changing. Right now, I like my Arbonne exfoliating mask. I use it once a week.
My favorite skin care product is probably my Mary Kay Timewise Cleanser with the little cleansing beads in it. I started using it a few years ago after my first baby and still love how clean and smooth my skin feels after using it.
I have two must have face care products: Olay Mascara & Makeup Remover and Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Facial Moisturizer. I don’t use many products, but these help me feel like I’m fighting aging. 🙂
Philosophy’s Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash – It’s a mild exfoliant so I can use it every day. I use it in the morning in the shower and it makes my skin feel super clean, especially after a workout. Couldn’t live without it!
I’m not much of a skincare product kinda gal. I use oil free face wash and makeup and hope for the best! I try to be a diligent sunscreen (again, oil free for the face) user, but I could probably do better. All this to say, please don’t look too closely. 🙂
Feel free to share your favorite skin care product. Like I said, I’m always interested to know what works great for other moms.
