I’m going to take a wild guess and assume many of us have transitioned to work from home, or maybe have found yourself home more often these days. I’m good, right? Well just because we are staying in more these days doesn’t mean we have to live in pajamas. If that is your bag though, by ALL means, keep doing you, Boo. These are unprecedented times and however, you are making it through is awesome.

After my first week working from home, I realized I was in desperate need of a routine. I started getting ready in the morning before I made the long commute downstairs to the corner of my living room. I instantly noticed a change and felt more productive and more myself. I was brushing my hair again! Now don’t get me wrong, I am not channeling The Devil Wears Prada. These days, I am all about comfort, but make it a point to feel put together.

Let’s call this: Comfy Chic!

This particular look is achieved with minimal effort and lots of stretchy material. Let’s dive right in:

Leggings. This is a given I know, but I feel compelled to tell the world about my favorite leggings in case you haven’t experienced the perfect pair yet. Leggings, of course, can be dressed up or down and they are forgiving when you add in a 2 o’clock Dorito snack into your meal planning. These leggings keep EVERYTHING in place and are the perfect thickness. The second pair have pockets, you’re welcome.

Shorts. It is spring after all, and on the days Mother Nature remembers that, you’ll be glad you have these linen shorts. They are super comfortable and come in lots of colors. They have elastic waistbands because…snacks. They also have pockets because, well…snacks.

Joggers. Do not be alarmed, you do NOT have to jog in these. If you do, they are actually great for that and the name will really start to make sense. Any tee and a jean jacket instantly dress these bad boys up.

Basic Tees. These will pair perfectly with all 3 pant options above but if you aren’t into pants these days due to it being day *927* of quarantine, these are still soft and amazing all alone. They also come in a pack of two, so that is a bonus.

Scoop Tank. This is THE perfect tank. It is the perfect length in my opinion, although I know designers keeps trying to take an inch off the bottom of our shirts every two weeks. No thank you. I require that extra fabric, thanks.

Cardigans. These will dress up any pair of shorts or leggings and are really perfect for those of us whose significant others keep the AC blasting for no apparent reason, which truly makes me nostalgic for the office.

Jean Jacket. This piece is the red lipstick of clothes if you ask me. It’s timeless and when you slip one of these babies on, your outfit automatically gets 10x dressier. You probably have one that you love. But in case you don’t, this one is affordable, and my favorite. Do yourself a favor and get a white one too. You’ll thank me.

Shoes. Slip-ons for the win! This might be a strange one for staying home, but if you’re like me, you don’t love walking around barefoot. If I’m being honest, these were my favorite shoes before all of this happened. I have been transitioning to comfy chic for some time now, but quarantine life made it official. (P.S. I am not even embarrassed by the last ones listed. These are basically house shoes that are acceptable anywhere. Comfy Chic!
