Paintball parties and Nerf parties for ages 6 and up. Axe throwing parties for ages 8 and up. They also have gellyball for ages 4 and up. Gellyball is super low impact — think of it as paintball lite!

Altitude Trampoline Park | Richardson, Grapevine

Picture wall-to-wall carpet and then replace that with trampolines. Party hosts do all of the work, from organization to setup and cleanup, so you can sit back and enjoy the party. Packages start at $200.

Urban Air Adventure Park | North Dallas, Garland, & more

Chamberlain Studios | Dallas

Book a karate birthday party for kids ages 4 and up at the Lakewood dojo. The hour-and-a-half party features a great karate workout, fun games and activities, and a short 3 Steps to a Great Kid™ discussion on child safety — all of this with your birthday child as the center of attention.

Obstacle Warrior Kids | Southlake

You can book a 2-hour birthday party any day during normal operating hours. Parties include open play and time in the party room for cake and presents, etc. See the FAQs at the link for lots more details.

Sportsplex | Dallas

Galleria Ice Rink | Dallas

Bowl & Barrel | Dallas

Bowl & Barrel is a little swankier than your standard bowling alley and centrally located at the Shops at Park Lane, near NorthPark. They have a buffet-style kids menu for parties, ramps and bumpers for little ones, and house-made specialties and craft cocktails for adults.

AMF Bowling | Richardson, Lewisville

A great birthday party spot for kids or teens. It’s easy to book your custom party package online. They have blacklight bowling, arcade games, and party hosts to help you out. Note: Bowlero is also in the AMF family, with locations in Addison and Garland.

Round1 Bowling & Amusement | Grapevine

Located at Grapevine Mills Mall, this spot has bowling, arcade games, karaoke, billiards, ping pong, and more. Base party package is $19.99 per person, 6 guest minimum party size.

Strike + Reel | Garland

Main Event | Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Plano

LOTS of party packages from weekday events to brunch bashes, teen parties to VR-intensive experiences. Priced per person.

Zero Latency | Dallas

Billed as “VR on a scale you need to see to believe,” Zero Latency offers free-roam virtual reality experiences for up to eight players. The experiences last from 30 to 60 minutes and are for ages 13 and older. They’re located at Beltline and the Tollway, right before you get into Addison.

Dreamscape | Dallas

Here’s another free-roaming VR immersive experience, this one tucked inside NorthPark, near the AMC. It’s for ages 10 and up (and ages 10–12 will need an adult participant in the group). There are no specific party packages, but the link takes you to the FAQs, so you can get a sense of how to structure a party around the 35-minute experience.

Free Play | Richardson

At Free Play, once you’ve paid admission, all the arcade games are free. Kids party packages start at $20 per person, which includes admission, unlimited free game play, a drink ticket, and a party favor bag (other party add-ons available). NickelRama | Garland

An arcade where vintage and modern games cost only 1–6 nickels to play. A flat rate of $79.95 gets you admission for 15 guests and a long party table for two hours (you can stay longer, but the table will not be reserved). Two locations in Garland, both right next to pizza places for easy access to party food.

Video Gamers Express | Greater Dallas Area

Hire a gaming truck and have your venue come to you! They do parties for ages six and up — 20 can play inside the truck and eight more can play outside (weather permitting). Check available dates and book at the link.

Frontiers of Flight Museum | Dallas

Birthday parties are offered on a limited basis and include 1.5 hours of party time (with 30 minutes for setup) in the dedicated party area and access to Children’s Play Area. This one is very DIY—they provide the venue; you provide the rest.

Cavanaugh Flight Museum | Addison

Texas Discovery Gardens | Dallas

Offering bookings for 2-hour parties with initial pricing based on number of guests. Choose up to two add-ons like critter encounters, story time, butterfly release, educational programs, and more.

Children’s Aquarium | Dallas

Another Fair Park birthday party venue! There are two party packages to choose from, starting at $250 for up to 12 guests ($15 for each additional person). Enjoy the aquarium at your leisure and get access to a private party room for 90 minutes.

Perot Museum of Nature and Science | Dallas

Birthday parties are on currently pause due to COVID, but hopefully they’ll come back soon — so many great themes!

Museum of Illusions | Dallas

Lakewood Conservatory of Fine Arts | Dallas

Park Cities School of Music | Dallas

They offer a few different options, like a 1.5-hour event that includes a teacher, instruments, different forms of art, and dance. They provide all the necessary decorations and birthday cake. You can also opt for an Instrument Explorers party either at PCSM or your home that includes karaoke, exploring and playing a variety of instruments (violin, cello, ukulele, guitar, harp, tuba, etc.), and musical games.

North Texas Performing Arts | Dallas, Plano, et al.
