0

The holidays are upon us and that means gathering with friends and family, sending out greeting cards in a timely manner, and baking homemade goodies to send out to all your closest neighbors, kids’ teachers, and mailmen. Oh, wait… this is a Hallmark Christmas movie, not real life! Let’s bring it back to real mom life where, yes the holidays are wonderful and a time to gather, but it’s also a time for trying to squeeze in more errands than usual, cleaning baseboards for that one family member that is sure to notice, and somehow always managing to make sweet memories with the littles.

One of the best parts of this busy time of year of course, is the food and more specifically the DESSERTS. We are all busy mamas and the hustle and bustle of life goes on despite it being the holidays.

Here are five instant pot recipes that are all six ingredients or less (yes you read that right!):

1. Apple Dump Cake

This apple dump cake is amazing because it’s super versatile.  You can easily make it gluten free by swapping the regular cake mix with a gluten free one! Want to spice it up? Use spice cake mix. Wanting to change it up? Use any kind of pie filling you wish: blueberry, cherry, pineapple, the options seem endless!

  • 1 Can 21 ounces apple fruit filling
  • 1 Package 15 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 Cup butter cut into thin slices

2. Nutella Bomb Bites- Gluten free!

This one is amazing for the most obvious reason of only needing two ingredients, but it also lends itself to be “extra”, if you will. You can sprinkle powdered sugar, or add some mini m&m’s or sprinkles to make them more festive.
