With virtual learning it feels extra important to prioritize fitness at home to boost moods and stay healthy. We’ve rounded up some good options that go beyond bike rides and neighborhood walks. Local spots get top billing, but since these are virtual, we added a few classes from elsewhere that look especially great.

Creation Station Dance :: This Dallas dance studio teaches children 16 months to 16 years old. Now offering live Zoom classes 5 days a week for all ages. When searching on their site for classes, you can filter by “at home.”

Outschool :: Their ‘Wellness’ category includes live virtual classes for martial arts, basketball skills, yoga (Pretzel Kids), kids boot camps, and other fitness activities that can be done from home. Options for all ages.

Ace Studios :: Kids will learn exciting hip hop dance routines in an uplifting environment, with a focus on self-esteem, confidence, and positive thinking. Weekday or weekend options, drop-in or 4-week sessions available. Check the link for lots more info and to sign up.

Net Generation :: Tennis, anyone? USTA and Net Generation have a bunch of instructional videos and tennis-related activities up on their site. You can sign up for email updates to stay current.

DFW Races :: Find a virtual fun run for the family with this handy race finder. Keep an eye out for “virtual” in the name of the race so you know you’ll be able to properly social distance.

YouTube :: An endless resource for kid’s fitness videos. Cosmic Kids Yoga, PE With Joe, Adapted Physical Education Channel, GoNoodle, Jack Hartmann, Kidz Bop Dance Along videos… If you have a family favorite YouTube channel for fitness, please share below!
